Meet the artist…

Paul Crabtree is a mixed media artist from Sussex, England.

Starting out as a professional wildlife artist he earned 2nd place in the esteemed BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year award in 2013 with his depiction of a Great White Shark.

In 2014 Paul took his art in a new direction, moving away from wildlife art, creating a new portfolio of work that would start an exciting journey bringing the artist international acclaim. Working with marker pens, acrylic paints, spray paints and digital enhancement, Paul creates visually stunning pieces. With striking colours and hypnotic visuals his bold pieces have caught the attention of contemporary art galleries worldwide. The first Black Core Studio solo show was held in 2014 at Urban Soup gallery in Royal Tunbridge Wells.

Since that show the artist has gone on to sell art to collectors around the world - working on collaborations as far away as California, as well as being commissioned to produce unique ‘one-off’ works for celebrities, adventurers and influencers.

in 2019, Paul’s work was featured in an urban art installation in the Wien Museum, Vienna, Austria
